750 patients attended to at AAI health camp at Pakyong

GANGTOK, 24 April: The Airports Authority of India’s [AAI] “Kalyanmayee” organisation organised its 5th free health check-up camp at the Pakyong Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Saturday. The health camp was inaugurated by Chief Secretary ND Chingapa.
A total of 750 patients from Damlakha, Dikling, Karthok, Chalamthang, Pachey, Gangchung, Mamring, Same Sam Singh, Naya Basti, Dugalakha, Pademchey etc were registered for the health camp, informs a press release.

AAI also started its tree plantation programme on the day at the Pakyong Airport where Mr Chingapa, General Manager (P), GD Gupta, AAI, Kalyanmayee members, government officials, media persons and local residents planted saplings. Mr Gupta informed that AAI proposes to plant 1,000 trees this monsoon and also take care of them for a period of at least one year, the release adds.
Mr Chingapa appreciated the initiatives taken up by AAI in Pakyong and expressed hope that AAI would continue such activities for the people of Pakyong and the surrounding areas.
The public of Pakyong also appreciated the efforts being made by AAI and Kalyanmayee organisation, the release adds.
Also present on the day were, Advisor, Sikkim Trading Corporation, Nima Theeng, CMO, Singtam, Govind Lama, and other dignitaries.
