Red Panda Films of Sikkim has announced plans to present “Creme Brulee”” to audiences here on Valentine’s Day. This Rabongla-based production house is all set to release its 14-minute long English short film, Creme Brulee on 14 February. Rizwan Khan of San Francisco-based Fiction King is the writer and director of the film which is being produced by Karma C. Bhutia, MD of Red Panda Films.
The production house had earlier held auditions from 06 to 08 February at Gangtok. 60 artists turned up for the auditions of whom 14 were selected for the film. The shooting began on 10 February at locations in and around Gangtok.
Sharing an interesting trivia about the film, Mr. Khan mentioned that this short film has 14 characters, 14 crew members, a 14-page script and will be releasing on 14 February.
He highlighted that the film was also completely “local” in that all characters and crew members are from Sikkim. The film has been shot at MG Marg, Titanic Park, Baker’s Cafe and other places in and around Gangtok.
“I love to visit this place and this is my sixth visit to Sikkim. I always wanted to feature this beautiful state, especially MG Marg, in my films to showcase this lovely place to the rest of the world,” Mr. Khan shared. He now plans to take this film to film festivals around the world.
Mr. Bhutia of Red Panda Films in turn mentions that Red Panda Films was formed recently in December last year. The production house has already made a 3-minute long documentary film on a photographer, Revelation.
