MANGAN, 01 Aug: The 2nd Lachen-Mangan MLA Challenge Cup 2014,
organised by the North District Football Association (NDFA), kicked off today
here at the Mangan Public Ground in North Sikkim. The inaugural function had Chairperson,
Transport Department, Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, as chief guest accompanied by NDFA
president, Karma Jigdel Bhutia and other members.
The first match was played between MLTDA and
Lower Singhik which the latter team won 04-02. Similarly, in the second match Singhikpa
defeated RMDD 04-01.
A colourful cultural programme was also presented
by Malling Club and Mangan Little Club as part of the inaugural function.
