Central Pendam and Pachak in finals
GANGTOK, 14 Aug: Central Pendam SSS and Pachak SS are the two finalists of the 68th Independence Day Inter-JHS Level Football Tournament held at Chisopani JHS. Both the teams won their respective semi final matches convincingly, informs a press release.
Central Pendam SSS defeated its rival Singlebong JHS team 8-1. Adarsh Pradhan and Pem Tshering Tamang scored a hat-trick each in the match. It was the second hat-trick for Pem Tshering Tamang taking his goal tally to six goals in the tournament and making him the highest goal scorer of the tournament so far. Similarly Pachak SS defeated the host school Chisopani JHS 7-0. Kamal Rai scored a hat-trick for Pachak SS.
SMC President, PB Tamang and former Graduate Teacher at Chisopani JHS, Lobang Bhutia were the chief guests of the two matches. Former Area MLA, Am Prasad Sharma will be the chief guest of the final match of the tournament, the release mentions.
