DIKCHU, 06 Aug: Guru Rinpoche Thrunkar Tshechu was celebrated here at Rakdong Monastery in East Sikkim today in a function organized by Guru Thrunkar Tshechu Committee of Rakdong. A motorcade rally carrying the statue of Guru Padmasambhava was taken out from Rakdong Monastery to Phidang Chorten in Lower Dzongu, North Sikkim coming back to the monastery in the afternoon. Special prayers were performed by around 70 monks from the monastery a day earlier. The general secretary organizing committee, TS Lepcha extended gratitude to all the zindas (Sponsors) and devotees for making the celebration a grand success.
