BFAC and BTT meeting at Rhenock

GANGTOK, 10 Aug: One-day Orientation cum Co-ordination meeting of Block Farmer’s Advisory Committee (BFAC) & Block Technology Team (BTT) was organized by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) East Sikkim under FS&ADD in Rhenock Gram Vikash Kendra Conference hall on 09 August.
A press release informs that the meeting was chaired by Rhenock Gram Vikash Adhikari, BL Adhikari while it was also attended by line Officers, Agriculture & Horticulture Village Level Workers, Gram Panchayats of Rhenock, Tarpin and Sudunglakha GPU, representatives of Amar Jyoti Organic NGO, ICCOA Organic service provider along with progressive farmers.
The welcome address was delivered by Rongli Agriculture Assistant Director, IS Chettri while BTM, ATMA Rhenock, MB Mukhia explained the scheme, action plan and importance of co-ordination amongst the departments. ICCOA Supervisor, Ganesh Giri shared his experiences on organic activities, the release mentions.
BFAC consists of 25 members including one Chairman, One Vice Chairman from the Block farmers. BTT consists of members from department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Fisheries and Organic Service Provider.
