GANGTOK, 06 Aug: A meeting of the central executive body of the All Sikkim Government Drivers’ Association [ASGDA] was held here today. A press release of the association informs that after a long discussion, the meeting passed the proposal to dismiss Chakra Bahadur Rai from the post of president of the association and to appoint the vice-president Ashok Chettri as the new president till the election for the new body of the association is conducted.
The release contends that it was unanimously decided to appoint Ashok Chettri as the new president of the association. The meeting was attended by all executive members and other members of the ASGDA, the release claims.
