GANGTOK, 13 Aug: The first semi final match of the 68th Independence day celebration and 1st Chitra Laxmi Pradhan Memorial football tournament was held on Tuesday between Singtam Saipatri Club and Temi Pinasa Dara Gaon at Temi Government School Ground. Singtam Saipatri Club won the match 1-0 to enter the finals of the tournament.
MLA, GM Gurung was present as the chief guest for the day. He appreciated the efforts of the Pradhan family in sponsoring the cash prizes for winners [Rs 50,000] and runners-up [Rs 30,000] of the tournament.
Also present were Chairman of the Temi Tea Garden, Mohan Chamling and the ex-principal of Temi Government Senior Secondary school, K Imbaraj.
