GANGTOK, 28 July: The Tashi Namgyal Academy Alumni Association (TNAAA) commenced the Golden Jubilee Celebration of its alma mater with the felicitation of retired teachers and staff on 26 July in a ceremony held at Hotel Tashi Delek in the capital.
A press release informs that the ceremony was attended by the patrons and members of the association. The ceremony was addressed by Patrons of the Association, Nalini G. Pradhan, KTN Gyaltsen and Justice SP Wangdi.
The Patrons placed on record the invaluable contribution of these teachers and staff. Lhagod Lhama, Tashi Tenzing, SP Singh, S Das and Mrs Tenzing spoke on behalf of the retired teachers. The retired teachers thanked the association for the appreciation and the gratitude shown towards them, the release mentions.
The ceremony also saw the launching of the Golden Jubilee Celebration memento by its alumni Justice SP Wangdi. The retired teachers and staff were felicitated with mementoes and shawls.
