GANGTOK, 15 July: Pragati Social Club, 6th
mile, Tadong has formed an adhoc committee after releasing members who are government
employees.
A press release informs that the club held
a meeting on 12 July where it was decided to relieve members who are government
employees in compliance with the government notification prohibiting government
servants from being members of any association. The club has relieved five of
its executive members.
The adhoc committee has DB Thapa (former
area MLA and Minister) as chief patron, DB Rana as vice presient, BK Basnett as
general secretary, Dilip Gurung as joint secretary, David Tamang as treasurer
I, Moti Bahadur Thapa as treasurer II, Prem Kumar Sharma as organising secretary
I and BB Pradhan as organising secretary II.
