GANGTOK, 30 June:
One person has been arrested on charges of assaulting his brother in Upper
Lingchom, West Sikkim.
As per the police,
an altercation between the brothers led to one of them attacking the other with
a bamphok inflicting injuries on the head and hand of the victim. The victim
was immediately taken to Gyalshing District Hospital from where he was referred
to STNM Hospital, Gangtok for further treatment.
A case under
section 307 of the IPC (attempt to murder) has been registered at Gyalshing
Police Station against the accused who has been arrested and the case is under
investigation.
