MANGAN, 06 July: The half yearly Gram Sabha of Dungdung Thasa GPU under Khamdong-Singtam constituency was held on 03 July under the chairmanship of Panchayat president. The Gram Sabha was also attended by area MLA, Minister Somnath Poudyal, along with the ward panchayats, zilla panchayat, officials from line departments and the general public.
The main agenda was to discuss the drinking water situation, road carpeting, schemes under animal husbandry, horticulture, and replacement of power transformer.
The Minister, in his address, appealed to all the panchayats to work for the people and for the development of the GPU. The panchayats have been empowered, he pointed out, and urged them to work more not only on paper and on files but in the field as well. He stressed that all schemes passed in the gram sabha should be put into implementation within a month.
