MANGAN, June, 17: The “Inter-Mangan Football Tournament”
organized here by the New Wave Club from 13 to 17 June at the Tiger-5 turf at Pentok
was won by Waterworld Kids.
The final match was played on the 17th between Waterworld Kids
and Senterem-V. When regulation time ended level at 2-2, the victo had to be
decided by penalty kicks. Waterworld Kids won by one goal.
The final day had ADC (N), Raj Yadav, as chief guest and Mangan
Nagar Panchayat president, Karma Jigdal Bhutia, as special guest. The winning
team, apart from lifting the trophy sponsored by Vodafone and Intex, took home
a Rs. 10,000 cash prize and free sim cards while the runners up won a trophy, Rs.
5,000 cash prize and sim cards for each player.
