MANGAN, 16 June: A free health camp was organised here at
Lingdok in East Sikkim by Sneha Kinetic Power Project Ltd. (SKPPL), project
developer of the 96 MW Dikchu Hydel Project on 13 June.
251 patients from different villages of Lingdok-Namphing GPU
were examined for diseases like tuberculosis, diabetics, Blood pressure etc and
were provided free medicines. The medical team comprised of nine specialists
and other medical staff from Central Referral Hospital Tadong.
The camp was inaugurated by Joint Commissioner, Labour
Deptt, KR Limboo accompanied by AGM SKPPL, Tilak Raj Sharma, Zilla and
Panchayats of Lingdok Namphong GPU, Students of Lingdok SSS and the local
public.
