GANGTOK, 01 June: The Rotary Education Expo 2014 at Mannan
Bhawan attracted a good number of students from different schools from in and
around Gangtok today. Educational institutes, colleges and universities from
different parts of the country set up their stalls in the expo, which was organized
by Rotary Club of Gangtok.
Stalls of Sikkim Manipal University, ICFAI and IHM Sajong
from the state also attracted a good number of students.
Speaking to NOW!, Rotary Club of Gangtok president, Praveen
Somani highlighted various activities of the organization and objectives of the
Rotary Education Expo. “This is the first time that the Club has organized an
educational expo especially for class X and XII pass outs of the state”, he
said. The expo had career counseling, career guidance, career consultancy and
motivational sessions by experts.
During the expo, resource persons from the state and outside
conducted sessions on prospective colleges and universities, loan and
assistance from banks, course selection and its scopes, state government
schemes and aids.
