GANGTOK, 05 Jun:
A case of cheating was registered by the Criminal Investigation Department
[CID], Sikkim Police, on 04 June against Som Kumar Gurung, President, Men’s
Labour Cooperative Society Limited, Chisopani, Ward No. 04, Singtam and others
for their failure to draw its raffle results despite several extensions of draw
date. The CID has registered a case under section 420/ 34 [cheating and
dishonestly inducing delivery of property with common intention] of the Indian
Penal Code and the case is under investigation.
