GANGTOK, 27 June: The Department of Sports & Youth
Affairs organised a plantation drive at Central Pendam Senior Secondary School
in collaboration with the National Service Scheme volunteers of the school
today. More than a 100 saplings were planted during this commemoration of
“Paryavaran Mahotsav”. Assistant Director CL Rai and SP Lepcha of the
Department and NSS Programme Officers along with NSS volunteers attended the
drive, an official press release informs.
