GANGTOK, 01 June: In an incident which should warm hearts in these otherwise distrustful times, a man withdrew cash from an ATM in North Sikkim, left the cash with the ATM and was later tracked down, informed and delivered the amount!
As per ADM North Sikkim's social media page, the man had withdrawn a cash amount of Rs 6000 and left it in the ATM of Union Bank of India in Mangan. When the bank's Branch Manager found out, he informed the district administration which posted this information online and broadcast it through its SMS service.
The money had been withdrawn by a GREF personnel who later went to the Bank Manager and claimed the amount.
