GANGTOK, 02 June: The “Destruction Monster’z Dance Academy” of
Tadong presented its first annual dance show here at the Sikkim Government
College auditorium on Sunday. This, a press release highlights, was the first exclusive
dance show in Gangtok and attracted a packed audience.
Students of the dance academy - juniors and seniors -
performed around 30 group, trio, duo and solo dances. The dances were
choreographed by the academy’s instructor Suraj Mallick. The show was hosted by
Kathrin Wu and Suzanna Rai.
Besides showcasing the dancing talents of the academy, the
show was an effort to encourage the dancers of the state and at the same time
to develop competitiveness among them, so that they can achieve greater heights
in future, Mr. Mallick conveys in his press communiqué.
The Destruction Monster’z Dance Academy was established in
April 2013. Around 70 students - juniors and seniors - are undergoing dance
training at the academy at present.
