GANGTOK, 01 June: The Bharatiya Janta Party has announced plans to participate in the Assembly by-elections to be held in Rangang-Yangang following Chief Minister Pawan Chamling’s decision to relinquish this constituency and retain Namchi-Singhithang. Mr. Chamling had contested from these two constituencies in the last elections and won from both.
According to a communiqué issued by the BJP Sikkim unit president Palden Wangchuk Khangsarpa yesterday, “the local BJP unit will be seriously involved in the re-election”.
