NAMCHI, 19 May [IPR]: The District Magistrate cum Returning Officer, South District, Prabhakar Verma has congratulated and expressed his gratitude to all the Officers and Staff of South District who were involved in the successful conduct of the Assembly and General Elections 2014. He extends his gratitude further to all the AROs, Nodal Officers and their teams dealing with various responsibilities during the Election process and also to all other various staffs of District Collectorate (South) who were actively involved in the conduct of the election.
Similarly, he has also thanked all officials of other Government Departments like Police, Excise, IPR, Election and the Officials and their teams deputed in different duties like Sector Magistrates, Flying Squads, Video Statistic/Surveillance, Video Viewing and Expenditure Monitoring etc. RO South adds that besides them who were involved in the Election from the last three to four months, credit is also due for the success to the different Political Parties, Candidates and their Party Supporters as well as to the general public of South Sikkim for extending their cooperation to the District Administration.
A big credit is also due to the Master Trainers and their trainees i.e. Polling Teams headed by Presiding Officers, and the Counting Officials and Assistants for performing their duties with utmost dedication. He concluded by adding that it was due to the combined efforts of all these teams that the 2014 Election was planned and conducted in free, fair and peaceful manner without any errors.
