GANGTOK, 19 May: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha candidate for
Yuksom-Tashiding, Thutop Bhutia, a former SDF Minister, has thanked his party
president PS Tamang [Golay], other leaders and workers of SKM for the opportunity
to contest elections. Thanking the people and party workers of Yuksom-Tashiding,
he has said that he would respect the people’s mandate.
In a press release, Mr Bhutia has congratulated all the
winning candidates and urged both the ruling and opposition MLAs to work
towards maintaining peace and harmony in the state. He has expressed hope that
the winning SDF candidates would work for the rights and interests of the
people of the area in the next five years.
Extending his support for the development of the
constituency he has further said that he will speak against any injustice meted
out to the people of the area, the release adds.
