Mintokgang, the official residence of the Chief Minister,
was flooded by people calling on SDF president, Chief Minister Pawan Chamling,
to congratulate him on his party winning the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections
for the fifth time. A long line of patient supporters thronged to Mintokgang
through the day.
Meanwhile, the newly elected SDF legislators held a meeting
at Mintokgang today and decided that they will hold a formal meeting on 20 May
to officially choose the next Chief Minister of Sikkim. The new government is expected
to be sworn in on 21 May, Wednesday.
