Returning Officer, South Sikkim expresses heartfelt gratitude towards the officials who were directly or indirectly involved in the successful conduct of general elections in South district.
The rigorous job started much before the day of announcement of elections on 05 March, 2014 by the Election Commission of India. There were a large number of teams both at the RO office and in the field who performed their assigned duties with great efficiency & sincerity.
I would like to thank all the nodal officers of various activities, the field officials including SDMs, Sector Magistrates, flying squads, SSTs, VSTs, Police Officials, excise, IPR Deptt, Transport etc. & most importantly the polling parties who conducted the polling process on the day of poll with special mention of Tumin Lingee team who did their job at the farthest location from headquarter. We would also like to thank the security forces including the para-military personnel for adequate security arrangements during the process. Our thanks to all the political parties & their candidates who cooperated with our arrangements patiently and extended all possible support for the success of these elections. DAC, South also hopes that similar support will be extended by all till the process of counting gets over.
