GANGTOK, 10 Apr [IPR]: The Returning Officer, East, has directed that campaigning for the General Election 2014 has come to an end at 5 pm of 10 April 2014. All forms of political campaigning are strictly prohibited after 5 pm of 10 April. The Returning Officer East has directed that non compliance of this shall be regarded as violation of Model Code of Conduct and other statutory provisions and has sought strict compliance of this from all the Sector Magistrates of East District and further has ordered strict action against those violating this.
