BJP’s Sikkim campaign continues

GANGTOK, 09 Apr: Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP] Sikkim’s Lok Sabha candidate, Nar Bahadur Khatiwada took a round of the Gangtok town bazaar area today. He was accompanied by state BJP president Palden Wangchuk and BJP candidate for Gangtok, NG Dorji.

On Tuesday, Namcheybong candidate Tashi Rai campaigned door-to-door in her constituency. She spoke about the plans, policies of the BJP including special package for Sikkim as announced in the BJP national manifesto.

BJP candidate from Upper Burtuk, Ugen Tamang visited Thami dara, Ranka and Luing areas both on Tuesday and today. BJP Gangtok candidate N G Dorji interacted with people at Vajra, India government press and remaining houses in development area on Tuesday.

State BJP candidate for Lok Sabha, Mr Khatiwada who had visited Makha, completed a tour of Samdung and Mangan Bazaar area along with Mangshila, Phodong, Phensong and Kabi areas on Tuesday. He announced the special package of pending issues and development, announced by central BJP leadership for Sikkim and Darjeeling hills in their manifesto, appealing them to vote for BJP to create a corruption free stable government at centre.

BJP candidate from Soreng-Chakung constituency, Sher Bahadur Karki conducted people contact programme at Soreng-Karthok block and would be doing the same on Thursday at Timberbong area, the release mentions.

Upper Tadong BJP candidate Elle Pal Rai visited Lingding, Lumsey, Greendale, Amdogolai, Setipool areas extensively on Tuesday and today. She was dismayed by the deplorable road, water and electricity situation along with lack of health facilities in her constituency.

BJP candidate from Singtam-Khamdong, Madan Sharma continued with his people contact programme in his area, while deliberating on the parties manifesto and benefits for Sikkim, it is added.
