Ugen Gyatso continues Tumin-Lingee campaign

DIKCHU, 26 Mar: The Sikkim Democratic Front’s election campaign in Tumin-Lingee constituency reached Samdong-Kambal GPU today with the SDF candidate, sitting MLA Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia, meeting and interacting with the people accompanied by former MLA Norzang Lepcha, zilla member Saraswati Regmi and other supporters.

Delivering the welcome speech, Panhayat Secretary, ward panchayat Sabitri Chettri highlighted the various developmental initiatives like upgradation of school and drinking water supply undertaken by the SDF government and the area MLA in the area. 

The Zilla Panchayat, Ms. Regmi, similarly highlighted the public demands which were fulfilled by the area MLA in the past 5 years and after detailing these, reiterated that the people recognize and endorse the MLA’s work among them by returning him to the legislative assembly for another term representing them and also by voting for the SDF’s Lok Sabha candidate in strong numbers.

Addressing the gathering, the candidate appealed to the youth to unite for development and urged all to make informed choices during the election. He highlighted that SDF has provided peace and development in the state and is led by the proven pro-poor credential of Pawan Chamling.

He contended that Tumin-Lingee has received more development than other constituencies of the State and will continue enjoying such indulgence under the SDF. “We will continue in government and will continue the development,” he added.
