Training on ICS for Organic Farming at Tingchim Mangshilla

GANGTOK, 05 Feb: Awareness cum Capacity Building Training programme for farmers and field supervisors on Internal Control System (ICS) for Organic Farming Implementation and Certification was held at Panchayat Bhawan at Tingchim Mangshilla GPU, North Sikkim today. The programme was organized by the Service Provider, International Traceability Systems Limited, Sikkim under the guidance and supervision of Sikkim Organic Mission, Govt. of Sikkim.

A press release informs that 60 farmers participated in the training which was also attended by Panchayat president, Dilliram Subba, Zilla Panchayat, Tshering Doma Bhutia and F.A. Sungrap Bhutia, from the department. Training was imparted on seed treatment, preparation and use of liquid herbal pesticide for pest & disease management with the locally available farm inputs by Project In-charge, ITSL, Ramjee Prasad.

In due course, ward wise trainings will be conducted by Project In-charge and Field supervisors for successful implementation of organic farming, the release adds.
