GANGTOK, 10 Feb: The state kickboxing team left for the WAKO
India Cadet and Senior National Kickboxing Championship being held at Pune,
Maharashtra from 13-16 February. The championship is being organized by National
Kickboxing Federation of India and hosted by Maharashtra Kickboxing
Association. Four Sikkimese kickboxers, Prabhakar Rai [54 kgs low kick, Fight],
Rahul Chaudari [51 kgs low kick, Fight], Vikey Gupta [54 kgs k-1, Fight] and
one female kickboxer, Anugraha Rai [46 kgs kick light, Fight] are participating
in the championship. The team is led by Coach, Bikash Pradhan and Team Manager,
Kundewa Hang Subba. This is the first time that the team is participating in
this championship.
