NAMCHI, 08 Jan: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’s South District Executive Committee held a meeting at Namchi on 07 January. In an effort to structure the organization more efficiently and provide better operational control, two Zonal committees were formed for Namchi Zone and Ravangla Zone.
While addressing party workers, PS Tamang [Golay] appealed to everyone to get into election mode and intensify their election campaign process. The aim of SKM, he stated, is a corruption free, communalism free, nepotism free, suicide free and a loan free Sikkim.
He shared that his party has been receiving huge support especially since the registration of the party with the Election Commission of India and its listing with the ECI website. “We have received enormous support from the public. Now it is the responsibility of every party worker to spread the message of the party” exhorted Golay at the occasion.
“I am being asked by my fellow workers to take the post of President but this party has a democratic set-up and every decision is taken after incorporating all suggestions. There will be a special meeting of CEC on 09 January and whatever decision is taken on that day will be granted, shared Golay emphasizing the democratic processes of the party.
“This party has not been formed for making me the Chief Minister or making others ministers. We are here to give justice to Sikkimese people. I am not here to fulfill my personal ambition. It is a party of the people. I am here to only execute the will of the people. Whatever people want me to do, I will work accordingly” stated Golay. He further said that the election manifesto of the party would be released on 04 February and this would provide the people with the opportunity to compare it with the SDF manifesto. On who will be provided with election tickets he said that this would be decided by the people.
