GANGTOK, 15 Jan: Horticulture & Cash Crop Development Department, along with women farmers of Lower Diu, South Sikkim, participated in the first Assam International Agri-Horticulture Show 2014 held at Guwahati, Assam, from 08 to 11 January 2014.
The team was led by Addl. Director Horticulture, DK Bhandari and HDO, South, D. Bhujel, a press release informs.
The international Agri-Horti Show saw the participation of representatives from China, Italy, Holland, Israel, Laos, and farmer groups all the northeastern states and National ICAR Institutes.
The Horticulture Department of Sikkim received a large number of international and national visitors who showed keen interest in it, the release adds.
The women farmers from Lower Diu expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister of Sikkim and the HCCD Department for the exposure tour, the release adds.
