GANGTOK, 15 Dec: Boys’ Club will take on Sanju Pradhan Football Academy, Sombaria in the final match of the U-14 Snow Lion Cup Football Tournament here at Paljor Stadium on Monday afternoon. A total of 11 teams participated in the three-day tournament, which is being organized by the United Sikkim Football Club [USFC].
Boys’ Club emerged as the champions of Group A, while Sanju Pradhan FA has topped Group B. The final match will kick off tomorrow at 12:30 PM.
USFC senior manager, Arjun Rai informed that the eleven teams were divided into two groups, who played league matches in their respective groups. A total of 25 matches were played and toppers of each group will now play the final match, he informed. He further added that the organizers also provided food to participating teams along with lodging and transportation cost to teams from outside the capital.
This tournament is like a mini football festival with around 200 children participating, said Mr Rai. The tournament was kicked off on Saturday morning.
