X’MAS TREATS IN ADVANCE: Christmas Bajey from Canaan Christian Fellowship of Deorali hands out advance X’Mas treats at a “Christmas Ko Bhetghat” organized at Yalli Primary School opposite Chongey here in East Sikkim on Saturday.
GANGTOK, 08 Dec: A pre-Christmas Celebration, “Christmas Ko Bhetghat”, was organized by Canaan Christian Fellowship, Deorali at Yalli Primary School premises in a grand and colorful manner on Saturday.
The celebration was attended by Headmaster, Chewang Norbu Bhutia and teachers of Yalli PS along with school management committee members and people from Yalli, Phakelakha and nearby places.
On the occasion, Mother guild, youth and Sunday school children of the church presented dances, songs and a skit, which was highly appreciated by the gathering. Likewise, a dance was also presented by the Sunday school children of Believer’s Church, Phakelakha.
The Christmas message was shared by the Senior Elder Simon Moktan, while Solomon Rai gave an educational counseling session. The welcome address was given by Jashoda Shrestha and vote of thanks presented by Deacon JB Balkoti, while the whole programme was conducted by Andrew Chettri.
The celebration started with the opening prayer by Pastor MK Sherpa and ended with the closing prayer and benediction by Pastor PK Rai.
