GANGTOK, 19 Dec: The windstorm that hit the state on 15 December had disrupted power supply in East and North Sikkim. While power supply has been restored in some places, Kabi and Chungthang in North Sikkim are still in the dark. District officials informed NOW! that power supply in these areas is expected to resume by Friday evening.
“Work to restore power supply is being carried out and is expected to resume in Chungthang and Kabi Sub-Divisions by Friday”, said Additional District Collector, AK Yadav. He has urged the public of the two sub-divisions to cooperate with the district officials.
