GANGTOK, 01 Dec: The Bhutia Lepcha Protection Force has announced plans to organize a national-level convention of the Sikkimese Bhutia-Lepcha community at BL House here on 08 December.
A press release informs that the convention will cover various socio-political and religious issues “that have, of late, been posing severe threat to the community”.
It is further informed that the convention is being held for recognition of the sanctity of Article 371F of the Constitution and in the interest of the Sikkimese BL and other Sikkimese communities. “All community members have been invited,” the release adds.
