GANGTOK, 13 Nov: Election to the central committee of the All Sikkim Government Employees Association [ASGEA], Group C and D, scheduled to be held on 24 November 2013 has been postponed to 07 December 2013, informs a press release from the association.
An ASGEA election commission headed by the State Bank of Sikkim Employees Association has been constituted for the task, it is informed.
Elections will be held for 9 posts of chairman, vice chairman, general secretary, joint general secretary, treasurer, assistant treasurer, coordination, publicity secretary, office secretary.
The election has been postponed due to the late application for permission to convene the election from the Government of Sikkim, the release explains while requesting all members to participate in the election.
