GANGTOK, 29 Oct: The election of Sikkim Subordinate Accounts Service Association East district committee was held on 27 October here at Janta Bhawan. The election was conducted by the association’s election commission comprising of Sudeep Tamang, Prashant Pradhan and Beedur Gurung as members, informs a press release.
Sonam Ongmu Bhutia was elected as the president, Urgen Tamang as vice-president, Karma Wangchuk Bhutia as general secretary, Tshering Dorjee Bhutia as joint secretary, Pema Diki Bhutia and Manisha Sharma as treasurers, Dibya Rai as publicity secretary and Hissey Tshering Sherpa as welfare secretary.
The election of the central executive committee of the association was also declared on the day. It is informed that the last date for filing nominations is 07 November and last date for withdrawal of nomination is 08 November followed by scrutiny process on 09 November and the voting will be held on 10 November.
