ON THE VACCINATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST CANINE DISTEMPER IN WEST SIKKIM

On the very outset of my letter, I would like to express my gratitude on publication of AH Department press release on “Vaccination campaign against Canine Distemper” of 15 the March 2012 sent by Joint Director AH, LF&VS Department West, Dr DS Tewari, in your paper of Saturday 17 March 2012. In fact it may help
to make fellow citizens aware, Department & dogs owners also. While going through the report however, the name of coordinator AHARA wing Dr Tinley has been mentioned as the person to issue the press release by mistake. As such, due to technical problems his team couldn’t come to Pelling in infected area as they are dealing with healthy dogs, so infection may flare-up in healthy area also. Otherwise Dr Thinley is doing very well in stray dog’s population control program along with rabies control in dogs. He believes in holistic approach so he won’t like back door approach also.
I, therefore request your good self kindly to correct it by another corrigendum release please.
