GANGTOK, 18 March: Sikkim Football Association has announced that the football season for the year 2012-13 will begin on 01 April and has advised clubs already admitted and qualified for the Senior Division Sikkim-League, and other interested, to get enrolled for the 2nd Division S-League for the ensuing season and begin recruitment of players. SFA has further suggested clubs to apply for registration of its players as per the terms of the “Regulations for the Players Status and Transfer of Players” which is being circulated to all concerned.
An SFA press release issued by its general secretary, Menla Ethenpa, further informs that the process of registration and transfer of the players from one club to another [if any] must be completed by the 15th of April in the first window and that the second window will be opened from 01 to 15 December as stipulated in the said regulations and stressed that these shall not be extended under any circumstances.
