GANGTOK, 02 Feb: Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad Party [SHRPP] celebrated its decadal anniversary at the party president’s residence at Nam Nang today. On the occasion, the party has also adopted three political programmes and decided to hold state-wide meetings beginning this month.
An SHRPP press release issued by its general secretary, Tara Shrestha states that the three programmes of the party will be earthquake relief, corruption and price rise.
SHRPP president, Dr AD Subba congratulated the members of the central, district and constituency level committees on the decadal anniversary of the party and also thanked the people and well wishers for supporting the party till now, the release mentions.
On the occasion, the party also dissolved its ad-hoc committee and reconstituted a new ad-hoc committee for the next six months. Inactive members of the party were not included in the committee, the release also mentions.
The party president highlighted that SHRPP has created history for being in existence for 10 years even if it has never been in power, the release further informs.
