GANGTOK, 21 Feb: Auditions for the folk song competition as part of Sikkim Snow and Culture Fest were held on 18, 19 and 21 Feb at Hotel Delamere, Church road.
Out of 38 participants in Bhutia, Lepcha and Nepali languages, 14 were selected for the grand finale to be held on 26 Feb at MG Marg. Names of the finalists are as follows; Rapden Bhutia, Tashi Tshering Bhutia, Chumi Denka Bhutia, Leydup Lama, Sonom Bhutia, Petrick Lepcha, Leemit Lepcha, Yankee Lepcha, Choki Lamu Lepcha, Indra Bdr Gurung and group, Pasang Doma, Pramod Sharma, Sheela Nepal and Basanti Rai.
The participants were judged by Kr Pakhrin [Nepali], Narayan Rai [Nepali], Tashi Ongmu Bhutia [Bhutia] and Dawa Lepcha [Lepcha].
