GANGTOK, 09 Jan: As morning news on the telly of snowfall in the higher regions of the country and cold wave sweeping across the plains poured in, Gangtokians got set to brave the impending cold themselves. As the sun set over the capital, the light drizzle that dipped temperatures drove locals into their homes and the umbrellas surfaced on the streets once again.The Meteorological centre Gangtok recorded a maximum temperature of 10.9 degree Celsius and minimum temperature of 4.5 degree Celsius over Gangtok today. Higher reaches of the state also witnessed some snowfall it is learnt.
