GANGTOK, 03 Jan: A house break-in and burglary has been reported from Gyalshing. As per reports, the house of Binu Pradhan was broken into during the holiday period sometime between 23 December and 01 January, 2012. The break in came to light when the house owner returned home from her village in Sombaria. As per reports, the miscreants made away with Rs. 12,000 and a number of gold ornaments kept in a Godrej almirah.
Besides two ATM cards of SBI bank and one ATM of UBI were also stolen. The banks have also been intimated to provide CCTV footage of the ATM counters as an additional Rs. 7,000 was reportedly withdrawn through the stolen ATM cards. No one has been arrested so far.
