GANGTOK, 02 Jan: A team of 12 bodybuilders of the Sikkim State Bodybuilding Association is participating in the 1st Himalayan Classic Bodybuilding Championship being held in Darjeeling from 01 to 03 January 2012, informs a press release.
The bodybuilders were shortlisted at a selection held at Central Gym in Development area on 25 December under the supervision of chief coach IB Gurung.
The 12 bodybuilders are Norbu Tshering Bhutia, Tika Ram Pradhan, Arun Gurung, Lobo Rai, Suresh Chettri, Sandip Lakhandri, Sujey Tamang, Tulsi Pradhan, Ashish Rai, Pema Dorjee Bhutia, Ganesh Neopaney and Rupen Mukhia. The team, accompanied by chief coach IB Gurung, manager Rabin Pradhan and publicity secretary Sunil Gurung, left for the championship on 31 December, the release mentions.
