GANGTOK, 02 Jan: The Agriculture Technology Management Agency [ATMA], East, FS and AD Department conducted a training cum demonstration programme on Soil Testing and Soil Health Management at Bhurung, Central Pendam on 08 Dec 2011.
A press release informs that there were around 30 participants at the programme which had Deputy Director, Soil Testing Lab, Pem Doma Lepcha and Deputy Director, FS and ADD, Majitar, Karma Doma as the resource persons.
The main objective of the training was to make the farmers aware of soil health and soil fertility and to suggest crop wise nutrient and lime requirement, the release informs.
BTM, ATMA East, Subarna Pradhan, VLW Central Pendam, Kishori Sharma, FA, Padam, Field Coordinators, Karma Dubo Bhutia and Tashi Bhutia, LDC Soil Testing Lab, Shiva Kr Chettri and Lab Attendant, Thendup Tshering Bhutia also attended the programme.
