GANGTOK, 17 Dec: Day-2 of the PYKKA sports competition was filled with energy and aspirations on the young from all over the State who are participating in this rural mega sports event. It was a day dedicated to athletes and martial artists to prove themselves today.
Events were held at venues spread across Gangtok, with athletics at the TNA Ground, Wushu held at the Paljor Stadium ground and Tae-kwon-do at the Paljor Stadium Gymnasium Hall. The PYKKA events carry medals and cash prizes as follows: 1st Position- Rs. 400, 2nd Position- Rs. 200 and 3rd Position- Rs. 125.
Though it was a tiring day for the participants, but the excitement of winning and sportsmanship was on ample display.
