GANGTOK, 31 Oct: As part of the current visit of the Sakya Trizin, Supreme Head of the Sakyapa Order of Tibetan Buddhism at Gangtok, a series of initiations will be bestowed to the general public by senior Rinpoches of the Sa-Ngor Tsar Sum, informs a press release issued by the Sa-Ngor Chotsog Centre.
According to the release, on 30 Oct, Ta-Chag Khyung-Sum Wang will be bestowed by Ratna Vajra Rinpoche at 2 pm and on 02 Nov, long life empowerment [Tsewang] by the Sakya Trizin at 2 pm.
Trusol on Lhamu Logyonma for prevention of illness and epidemic, oral transmissions on Kyabdro [Tri-Ratna] and Phowa will be bestowed by Luding Khenchen Dorje Chang on 06 Nov at 2 pm while Kunrig Initiation [Wang] will be given by Ngor-Tharste Khen Rinpoche on 06 Nov at 1 pm.
All the above initiations (wangs) will be bestowed at Ngor Gonpa, Rongyek, the release adds.
