GANGTOK, 29 Nov: Minister, Neeru Sewa announced the construction of an Old Age Home at Ralong under Central Pendam constituency in a meeting held at Rangpo today.
The core committee for the construction of the Home was also formed with the Minister as the president, RK Pradhan as the vice-president, Sonam Wangdi Bhutia as general secretary and AST, SNT, Milan Silwal as treasurer.
Meanwhile, Om Adhikari, panchayat, Dilip Kumar Thapa, Dup Tshering Lepcha, Bhanu Pradhan and AE Rudra Pokhrel have been nominated as members of the committee. The land for the construction of this old age home has been donated by the panchayat member Dilip Kumar Thapa in the memory of his late father. [from NANDU DUTRAJ]
