Earthquake is not a man-made disaster, it is a natural phenomenon, not a pre-informed event, it is an instant and unpredictable disaster. It is a fact that Sikkim has experienced an extremely bad situation due to the huge earthquake of 18 September which caused huge loss of lives and properties.
Nevertheless, the state government under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Pawan Kumar Chamling worked hard in providing immediate rescue and relief services to the earthquake victims and other needy people of Sikkim which is an appreciable and historic task in the country.
Getting central fund for ex-gratia, reception and dealing with VVIPs from the centre, hiring choppers/helicopters and deploying rescue teams, reaching relief materials in the affected areas, visiting the affected areas and responding to peoples’ demands, raising CM’s relief fund etc, are commendable services rendered by our beloved chief minister and his team.
Dr. Pawan Kr. Chamling has also declared not to celebrate festivals this year and is busy in restoring the situation for the betterment of Sikkim and its people. In recognition of his outstanding services, untiring work, dedication towards responsibility and his people centric vision, we, the people of Tumin-Lingee constituency express deep thanks and
gratitude to the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues, MLA and other SDF Party workers.
Secondly, the people of Tumin-Lingee constituency feel great and proud to have the most dedicated and farsighted MLA, Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia who is efficiently holding the post of government Chief Whip. He organized a relief camp at Lower Samdong for the earthquake victims of Zang Busty, East Sikkim and visited every village of the constituency where he assured the people regarding every possible help from the government.
Mr. Bhutia is a man of perfection in providing justice to people of all sections of the constituency, risk taking and decision making, strong and constructive political will with socio-economic up-liftment approach, unbiased and dynamic leadership are the outstanding qualities that have made him a successful leader.
As such, we the people of Tumin-Lingee constituency heartily congratulate him for his farsighted dreams and yeoman services.
