GANGTOK, 27 Nov: 67 families under Daramdim Constituency resigned from the SDF party today in a meeting held at one DB Subba’s house chaired by Man Bir Subba, informs a press release issued by the former panchayat, Chumbung, Jacob Khaling.
These families were active SDF party workers with some of them being the founder members, the release contends further.
Former MLA Bhoj Raj Rai who was also present at the meeting spoke on what he saw as the “deteriorating condition” of the State and expressed that the rights of the people were being snatched away making their future dependent on outsiders, the release adds. He also alleged that earthquake relief funds were not being distributed uniformly, the release mentions.
